Not long ago it was announced that Ceasars Entertainment Inc. will no longer own or operate the installations of South Lake Tahoe, in the state of California. The property has been bought by a much bigger operator: the Columbia Sussex corporation, from Kentucky.

In spite of the fact that the casino is switching owners, the game revenues will remain intact. The transaction worth 45 million dollars is planned to take place late May.

The property will be called MontBleu when Columbia Sussex takes over. The 3716 m2 casino will be completely remodeled and it will offer 900 slot machines and 50 tables of blackjack, craps and roulette. The columns and fountains that follow the roman theme will be removed and the decoration will have a lot of wood and stone work.

The Development for Columbia Sussex Corp. director, Joe Young, said that MontBlue will host several entertainments such as a night club and a VIP room, to attract younger people in search of variation for their night life. This company also owns the Casino Tahoe’s Horizon and several other casinos along the country including Mandalay Bay, the Palms and Hard Rock in Las Vegas.
